Last week storm Isaias really knocked us for a loop. We are fortunate to be safe and were only without power for a few days. I know many who are still without and I pray that they will be restored soon.
I was reminded of a blog I wrote after Hurricane Sandy which coincided with my recovery from my third major surgery in an eighteen month period. Healing is a process. It takes time.
This month I’ve been devoting time to making choices that bring me joy and restore my mind, body and spirit. I got derailed with the storm last week, but am back on track and today am weaving in choices that heal and nourish me throughout my day.
It takes time and effort to recalibrate your central nervous system and find the innate rhythm of healing in your body. I did not become depleted overnight, nor will I heal as quickly that either.
Just like after a major storm/hurricane/tornado (whatever the heck happened!), restoration will take time.

Sending healing vibes to all.
