had a fun photo shoot yesterday (here’s a little preview) for my new website and upcoming projects. I had so much fun and got to spend the day not only with talented women, but my dear friend Sheila. It was like an all day dance party. My heart and soul was so full when they left.Later that nihgt, my fab photographer, Jerri (whom I’d highly recommend!), sent me a few samples from the day.
My first reaction to most of them was, wow… I look so old, my hair is frizzy I look fat, why did I pick that top? Do I really look that bad? Why am I doing this anyway?.…..and the list went on. And on.
I chose one that I did like and shared it on social media. It got many beautiful compliments.
Yet, I still focused on everything I didn’t like about it. We are our own worst critics.
Ironically, or perhaps, serendipitously, as I was going thorugh some emails today, I came across this one from the Daily Om (below) called You Are Beautiful.
I will need to read it a few more times to let it sink in.
