I walk and drive by this rock daily. It has been covered in random graffiti since I moved here (and I just realized I’ve lived in my current home longer than anywhere else in my life…hmm…irrelevant, but anyway…)
I couldn’t tell you what it looked like previously, even though I’ve passed it thousands of times in the last fourteen years.
The other day when I drove by, the jumble that previously adorned this rock was replaced by this heart.
(insert smile and aaah… here)
Nice, I thought. Each time I’ve passed since I think “cover it in love.’
Whether it’s mundane, ugly or seemingly meaningless (like a rock), cover it in love.
Whether it’s become invisible, or too insignificant to matter much, cover it in love.
I caught a bit of the Royal Wedding on Saturday and the recaps I’ve seen feature the BIshop capturing essentially the same message. Cover it in love.
Extend a kindness to someone struggling.
Pick up the phone (don’t text) and call something to share a compliment, express your appreciation or gratitude.
Slap some paint on a rock.
