I’m still buzzing from the weekend. My spirit (and my heart) are very full. First let me share the what, then the why….
Saturday I spent a full day at a Tri-State doTerra training event with some of my team. We heard great product education and I love learning new ways to incorporate essential oils into my life and collecting ideas to share with customers to support them with health challenges or elevate their well being.
For example, as I write this I am sipping my coffee with a drop of Cardamom , and this morning I used a combo of oils to support my thyroid. Thankfully I’ve managed to stay off medication, but truthfully I’ve gotten out of the habit of using this combo lately.
Then the afternoon was focused on those of us who are also pursing an income (whether part of full time) from this business. I love connecting with other business owners, since most of our oils users are purely customers. Finally, the beautiful bonus of the day was that the group raised over $5,000 for the Healing Hands Foundation.
Sunday I headed to the Dream Hotel (such a funky spot) for a day with Patricia Moreno, creator of IntenSati to attend her event the Year of YES! YES! The day included a kick-a$$ workout (my body is still sore but thankful), goal setting, powerful breath work, meditation, interesting speakers and a healthy tasty lunch. Patricia is such a bright light on the planet and I’m so glad I want.
So, that’s the what, but why?
I’m a huge believer in personal development. I spent a large part of my corporate career in Executive Training & Development and I’m a voracious reader, especially books in the “self-help” genre (though I don’t love that term).
I’ve always been committed to my personal growth, so I decided to be more intentional and less haphazard about pursing the right opportunities this year.
This year I intend to seek out one opportunity each month to develop my business skill set (like Saturday’s doTerra training) and one to focus on my personal mindset (such as The Year of Yes! Yes!).
As soon as I set that intention…wa la! These two events came to my attention, conveniently the same weekend, only a twenty five minute walk from one to the next. No brainer!
Excellence is a choice. If you want the business, relationship, body, bank accountant. whatever it is that you desire, then as one of the speakers told us, we must “Pray and Move Your Feet.”
“Moving my feet” is constantly seeking out hte people, information, tools and inspiration to continue to move me forward. If you are wondering why two weeks in the year your ‘resolution” is waning, or whether this year will be just like last year, or why you’re stuck – seek out a chance to see things differently, stretch yourself, raiser your vibration. And by the way, there are PLENTY of freebies – webinars, community events, etc., out there, so don’t play the no $$ card!
Inspired and motivated.
I’ve already registered for my personal development experience next month, it’s not a big weekend, in NYC, rather a local two hour workshop. I’m excited to see what kind of business development experience will present itself to me.
So what does your heart desire?
Perhaps it’s time to Pray and Move Your Feet!
